What Is Tang Soo Do Karate?

Tang Soo Do is a traditional Korean martial art built on the same striking, forms (hyung), and self-defense principles found in classical Karate — refined over centuries and taught at Barron's Martial Arts with an emphasis on character as much as technique. Unlike mixed martial arts or grappling-focused gyms, Tang Soo Do develops well-rounded students through structured belt progression, disciplined forms practice, and practical striking and self-defense skills that translate directly to everyday confidence.
